But Why Brazil?

In this story, we will discuss the most important reason what makes Brazil different from any other country and the testing market for major leading social media platforms.

The prime reason is Digital and Social Media Penetration in Brazil.

Media usage is the sum of information and entertainment media taken in by an individual or group.

Penetration rates are the most basic measure of media usage.

Media penetration, or reach, indicates the share of individuals in a country, region, or group that uses a medium.

Once penetration has been established, media usage is measured by the time individuals spend with a medium within a certain period.

The Digital and social media penetration of Brazil is the prime reason why it is winning in the social media industry.

As a result of this, Brazil is serving as the testing market for all the new features of major social media companies.

Now after looking at all these stats, you might be curious about where does India stands in terms of Digital and Social media penetration.

Indian Digital Space

India has a mere 504 million active internet users out of 1.3 billion people, according to a joint study by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Nielsen.

Still, India continues to be the world’s second-largest internet market after China.

In the next few years, a lot more people gonna have active internet users as more than 900 million people are without an internet connection.

Digitally, India is the world’s most untapped market. Another interesting fact about Indian internet space is, India has more rural internet users as compared to urban internet users.

For the first time in 2019, rural users (277 million) outnumbered urban areas (227 million) by 10 percent. Thereby eliminating the digital divide that had existed earlier.

All these facts and figures just show how much potential India has to become the next superpower.
